Who We Serve

Claremont Meals on Wheels serves homebound clients in the City of Claremont. Many clients depend upon the service long-term. Others need the service temporarily as they recover from a hospital stay, injury or illness. There is no age or disability requirement to participate. Our clients have included elderly people who are no longer able to cook for themselves, younger folks with long-term disabilities, and bedridden women undergoing high-risk pregnancies. To apply for service please call (909) 621-4018, at the tone, please request enrollment. You may download the attachment Service Agreement, fill it out to have your information available when one of our Intake volunteers calls to complete the registration process.  Do not send us the Service Agreement.  Do not send money.  Please wait for an Intake volunteer to contact you.

How To Apply

Please print out this Service Agreement and mail it into our office in order to sign up for meals.

What We Serve

Claremont Meals on Wheels clients receive a hot midday meal. The visits by friendly volunteers also provide a daily check on the client’s well-being.
A typical hot lunch includes a protein, vegetable, salad, milk, bread/butter, and dessert or fruit. The food is prepared in the Mt. San Antonio Gardens’ kitchen. Meals can be prepared to accommodate special needs such as diatetic diets.

Where We Serve

Claremont Meals on Wheels serves clients in the City of Claremont. Our routes divide Claremont into roughly four quadrants with a route serving each.
Please call our office at 909-621-4018 if you have questions about the areas we serve. If we don’t serve that particular area, we will provide you with the phone number for the appropriate Meals on Wheels program that services your area.

What It Costs

Our clients pay a fee of $3.00 per meal which is payable every four to five weeks for a total of $60.00 to $75.00.  Upon signing up for our program, there is an upfront payment of $30.00 for the first two weeks of service due at the time of application. We offer partial subsidies for low income clients who qualify. Refunds are not provided for skipped meals although we can accommodate clients skipping a week of meals with future notice. Please try to give us a week notice.  If a client is going to be gone for an extended period of time due to hospitalization or leaving the area, a stoppage can be implemented and no billing will be issued.

How To Pay For Services

Monthly bills are delivered to our clients by our volunteers or sent to the appropriate payee. Payment may be made in the following ways:

  • Personal check payable to “Meals on Wheels”
  • Money order
  • Please Note:

If your payment is not received by the next billing period, your account will become delinquent, and we will notify you that you need to bring your account current.  Continued non-payment may result in cancellation of services.
